Bright Little Dot

Choosing an outfit for a day out here has been really challenging lately. The weather is super hot but I feel I should not keep wearing denim shorts on every occasion. I will be turning a year older in a month and it's time that I should be more mature in what I wear every day.

Changing the whole style has never been easy, especially when it comes to buying the whole new wardrobe. Thank God for Pomelo. I can not stop buying from them! There is always something new that I need to buy. And what I like about them the most, the materials are just perfect for this city.

Hello Singapore!

Hello hello!

I am back to Singapore and I have been staying here for awhile now. It's very hot in here, but I have to be commute and be outside for most of the time (I mean, outside of malls!). I can say my whole wardrobe has changed within such a short period. I now wear less color, more light-weight but covering clothes. And most importantly, no more big bags and high heels! That is a big change.

Anyway, I have been shopping from Pomelo lately and I am very very happy with their products and service so far! I once called the customer service in panic because I realized my flight was in a few days and I might not be able to get it on time, and they helped me to speed up the delivery. I consider the price to be reasonable for such quality. And my 'reasonable price' is relatively low, if you dont know yet. The pants I'm wearing here is one of the latest purchase I got from Pomelo. Check out their SALE section (of course) and if you're lucky you can grab one for yourself too!

With Love

Maybe it has been months (or years) I have stopped writing. Same old reason, and I'm not gonna say it again. But now I have all the time I want to write; to fill this blog with things that attracts me, that draws my attention. So bear with me while I share my nonsense with you, people.

I have graduated and now I am officially unemployed. No job, no plan, and to be honest it is kinda depressing for me who basically plan everything from months before. But that is what I am facing now. I supposed to start my Master degree in the UK but one thing led to another, I had to decide to take a year off, which means another year of doing nothing.

It is (surprisingly) heartbreaking that I can't further my study so soon. I was never a diligent student, I am just lucky it was always in the way. But now I realize, what a blessing it has always been. Sometimes I blame it to my passport that is not as powerful as the red ones, although I know I shouldn't. Everything happens for a reason, right?

In the mean time, I hope this could keep me sane.

Back

I am back! HOME!

I'm so glad it has finally over! No more problematic visa application, no more lonely feeling.

Although what happened, I still have a place for KL in my heart. No matter what, I grew up to be a more mature person (basically to be an adult, as I have lived there since I was 17) in the heart of the neighbor country.

I still have few outfit photos I took with my housemate before I left. So glad I have an housemate who loves and is interested in photography, or at least willing to take pictures of me. I should not talk so much, so here it is.

The Start of Something New

 photo 017fec16-e31e-40ca-af0c-315c19c410a4.jpg
I'm back after a month holiday in Indonesia, where the internet is either running slow or not working at all. School starts only in March but I had to come earlier to settle my visa. Yes, I still don't have my visa yet. After all these 6 months of waiting and suffering, they decided to finally do the endorsement. Before I left Indonesia, I thought this endorsement process would be very easy and relieving. But I was wrong. The first hour I put my feet on Malaysia's ground, the whole chaos has decided to haunt me. I spent 3 hours at the airport's immigration office as I didn't prepare my flight ticket back. I did have the plan when to come back, but not the ticket. I don't want to blame anyone here, but I was just following my school's order. Yet when I called the international student service officer, I got not help or assistance on what to do. It was the longest 3 hours of my life. Glad I have upgrade my skill in typing on my touch-screen phone secretly, and I managed to message my sister to buy me a ticket home. I just couldn't spend another minute there. It was scary. And people there give this frightening feeling. No words could describe how I felt that time.

The whole chaos didn't stop there. The next day I found out few major changes in the rules which I wasn't informed. I had been trying to know any updates throughout my holiday by emailing them, calling, even I had to whatsapp them, which I would rather not to, in other circumstances. Yet nothing was told. I thought the 6 months I have spent would be a waste. I thought I had to repeat the whole application process and would be stuck for another 6 months.

Ended up I didn't have to. Through few arguments and pointing-fingers, I managed to get someone settle all the matters for me.

But I am still upset. I just have never felt trapped and helpless before. It felt like as if I was in a jail, but there was no bars or  walls around me. I had to be cautious all the time just in case there's a police or a road block or something. No, I wasn't an illegal student here. But not having my passport with me while I'm in other country, especially without a proper visa, I could not prove my good intention of staying here.

Anyways, what has been done is done. So glad this would be my last sem here (hopefully, and I will make it my last sem). I can't wait to move to a colder country for my postgraduate degree. Better, to a country with better and more effective student visa application procedures. I'm so excited for that, my outfits lately has been very cold-weather friendly.

Getting Ready for Surprises

My parents came last week for my sister's birthday! I could not wait and was so nervous as it was to surprise my sister. In the end everything went well. And I was very excited. Great weekend indeed.

Something Blue

 photo DSC_0224-1.jpg

I am currently obsessed with Michael Kors. I can even say I'm crazy over it. I have been purchasing Michael Kors Bag since I saw the beautiful Hamilton in Pearl Grey in May, and I still can stop ordering one. The brand's collection is priced reasonably, worth it with the quality it offers. Michael by Michael Kors collection also comes with various colors, makes the rainbow seems less colorful.

 photo DSC_0215.jpg

My latest purchase is the Michael Kors Selma in Cadet Blue. It is so hard to capture the real color of the bag, but I can guarantee it is actually very pretty. I searched high and low until I could get one in hand as it is sold out fast. But the bag worth all the wait and effort. I am one happy girl.

The bag comes with one attachable sling, allows me to go all casual with the sling on, or at times more shopisticated carrying it on hand.

Doubtful Warrior

I have been having doubts on myself. At times, I become very unsure of myself and my capabilities, especially when I realize the future is very scary.

But God is good, He gives me people who love me unconditionally. And their love and support to me keep me going. They believe in me more that I believe in myself, and that something I do not think I deserve.

K&K vs S&S

Went out around Kuala Lumpur with my little sister, we finally could get a break from uni life and hang out together. Started with Ikea for lunch, then we headed over to Publika at Solaris Dutamas just to see around. The weather was just perfect to sit outside and chill, it was not too windy, but not to hot at the same time. We had a crave for cakes, so right after Publika we headed to Alexis Bangsar for some sweet treats. Along the way we found this alley with graffiti all over the wall. And so as always, our little hang outs would always filled with crazy photo session. Today, the theme was  Kendall & Kylie as we are currently obsessed with them. Kendall and Kylie are the Kardashians half-blood sisters. They are still young but so talented. Both are models and they have launched their own fashion line with Pacsun. If you guys have not followed them on instagram, go follow them. You will be in love with their pics.

Since we are talking instagram here, the photos I upload below are edited and have been posted on my instagram. Oh I know I am such an instaho *wink

Bali : The Paradise

Hello in this August!
It is already the second week of my new semester and I must say it has been the most hectic start of a new semester, ever! I came back just 2 hours before my first class and then everything else started screaming and asking to be settled.

Anyway, today is the second day of raya, so firstly I would like to say selamat hari raya! mohon maaf lahir dan batin :)

Yesterday, I went through my photo album in the middle of my supposedly nap time and I found hundreds of picture from my family weekend getaway to Bali few weeks ago. It has been 2 years since the last time I came to Bali, and as always Bali amazes me with the beauty of it. A lot of thing has changed thought the beauty never fades away. The people also still as friendly and helpful as ever.

I spent most of my days there lazing around inside my room, swimming in the pool, enjoying the jacuzzi, or just laying on the bed. I did not go out that much but the places I went to surely worth to go.

Naughty Nuri's

If you are a big fan of pork ribs, this is the best place to go when you are in Bali. The portion was just right and the taste fondled my tastebud even longer than my trip to Bali. My favorite was obviously the famous pork chop, but and their brownies with ice cream is also a must have!

Metis

I went here for a family dinner. Got our place reserved few days before cause I heard at most times people have to wait to get a seat. I cannot remember exactly what I ordered since the name of the food was a bit weird for me (it is a french restaurant), but everything took me and my tummy to another level of hapiness.

Motel Mexicola

I love colors, outdoors, and quesadillas. And luckily, I could get it all at the Motel Mexicola. It was just 2mins walking distance from my hotel and we chose it out of laziness but it was the only good thing happened out of my laziness. We had a family dinner kind of dinner (?) with foods served on the table and we all had to share. Might be a little unusuall for a typical eating at a restaurant, but the portion was meant for that. It is really a must visit place in Bali. Not overrated, and the atmosphere was really happy and enjoyable.
